FROM HOODSPORT
In Hoodsport turn left onto SR-119. The Big Creek campground is at the T-intersection where the Staircase and Mt. Ellinor roads meet.
FROM I-5 and Olympia
Take Exit 104 and merge onto US-101 N toward Port Angeles, Aberdeen. Keep right onto US Hwy 101 NW toward Shelton, Port Angeles and head to Hoodsport. In Hoodsport turn left onto SR-119. The Big Creek campground is at the T-intersection where the Staircase and Mt. Ellinor roads meet.
From Northern Peninsula
Head south on US Hwy 101 NW toward Shelton and Hoodsport. In Hoodsport turn right onto SR-119. The Big Creek campground is at the T-intersection where the Staircase and Mt. Ellinor roads meet.

CAMP with us

Camping information for Big Creek, a National Forest campground.

Available sites are for tent camping (single tent), shared full size campsite (this will allow another camper to pitch a tent at your site), and a full size campsite for yourself.

Cost includes a single campsite + parking for one car.

Why book with us: If you want to secure your spot on this busy summer weekend this is the way to do it.

  • Purchase a campsite via UltraSignup.
  • If you want to request a specific site (check the map!) please email us and we will try to accommodate you. (We can’t guarantee it, but will do our best). There are limited spots availabilities - once they are gone they are gone.
  • Some sites are tent-only, the rest is big enough for a full size camper or 2-3 tents.
  • If you like to share a site you purchased with a fellow runner please indicate by purchasing a 'shared campsite' and will spread the word - thank you!
  • The entire campground is easily walkable and all sites and close to start/finish area.
  • We will send out more information closer to race date on where to check once arrive at the campground.

PUBLIC LANDS USE

The Beast of Big Creek Trail Race is operating under a special use permit from the USDA - Forest Service on the Olympic National Forest. Our experience working with the Forest Service these past 11 years has been nothing but positive. Big ups to these dedicated professionals who truly want everybody to enjoy and protect our public lands.

And a honorable mention to the amazing Mt. Rose Trail crew for keeping up these amazing trail.
